Babington perennial Leeks

Babington perennial leeks are one of the tastiest and easy to grow hardy perennial vegetables providing a yearly harvest of slender leeks with a hint of garlic. Sow any time Autumn through to Spring. Bulbils can be sown direct or can be sown in pots and transplanted later when signs of shoots appear. Babington leeks can be harvested by cutting the leek at the base and leaving the bulb in the ground to re-grow. Main harvest is usually March to June. Flowering July/August followed by a period of dormancy until moisture returns and new growth is triggered. Supplied as a pack of 10 individual dried leek bulbils (seeds) – each bulbil will produce a leek plant.
